I've have been towing our new jeep for almost a 5 months and at the end of every trip we come home with a dead battery. Has anyone had this issue with their flat towing experience?
First have the battery load tested. It could be good but weak. If that's good... The obvious question is what's still on? Sounds to me like it would be a high draw (current) item like head lights. Something like a radio won't do that. I'd keep the headlight position to 'off' not 'auto'. Are you using a braking assist?
I'll try turning off headlight switch. I do use a brake assist. The batteries have been load tested aand1 has been replaced which didn't change the issue. I will be towing it again in 2 weeks again and will test these changes.
