Hey guys: exactly what the topic post says. Is anyone runing or considered running front OEM lower control arms in the rear as lower control arms. My reason for doing this is that the front OEM lower arms are a bit longer than the OEM rear lower arms. Will this throw off my pinon angles to much, cuase my drive shaft yoke to fall out of the tcase or something else?

Talk away.....

I may be wrong, but I thought the rears were longer than the fronts by about an inch? (16.75" vs. 15.75") Maybe it's the other way around (rears @ 14.75", cause I know the fronts are 15.75")?

If that were the case and you were to put the rears in the front, I think they may be too long...not real sure though now :D

why would you want shorter control arms? you can put the fronts in the rear if you have adjustable rear uppers.

The rear arms are 1" longer than the fronts, so the most logical setup would be rear lowers to the front. Problem is that 1" is an awful lot, you'd probbably need to be at like 6" to use that much outward adjustment, and you'd still need longer rears, and adjustible front uppers.
I think we concluded it just wasn't feasable

Dang wishfull thinking I guess. I just wanted to push the rear axle back a bit to avoid having to trim more behind the rear doors to fit my 33 Swampers with only four inches of lift.
