The abs light has been on forever now , was just wondering if anyone knows how to clear what i believe may be a hard code without takiing it to the dealer, all wheel sensors appear ok and connections at modulator, i work at an Acura dealer and have tried using our obd2 scan tool but does not work in the abs mode ,also found nothing on "all data" info. site. any suggestions?

Hey Blackdiamondbound, would a blown interior fuse cause the ABS to not work or just cause the light to come on? Cause my ABS has not worked since this winter and it is starting to bug me.

TIA
Austin

in my 93-95 there is a fuse box on the side of the glove box, i do not think the newer zj have one there. there is a little fuse i think its like a 10 or somthing in there, and i hooked up a switch to it, so i can turn the abs off when i am wheeling. when i turn it off the abs light pops on and the abs no longer works. when i turn it back on it will take a couple seconds and i can hear it in the engine bay turn back on, then the light goes off and everything is back to normal.

i think i read you had a 96, so check your owners manual see where the fuse box inside your jeep and check that. if i remember right there is also a big fuse inside the engine bay too for the abs.
