I will be driving and it will either backfire and die or just die and wont start till I relieve some fuel pressure from fuel rail I put new cap and rotor plugs and wires and it ran good for a few days and back to running like crap again I'm at a loss on what to do replace or do

could well be Crank position sensor failing or the ignition switch is breaking contact :)
Could also be worth checking the main power and earth points for corrosion

just as an update try a new coil pack :)
My 96 4.0 limited started doing this over the weekend and the coil pack is dying. tried a spare I got of a scrapped car and it runs fine, so have ordered a new coil pack up :)

The first thing that comes to mind when you say you have to relieve fuel pressure is the gas cap. Is it the correct one for your rig?
