I will be switching out my 249 for a 242 and have read that the linkage won't work. I have the 242 linkage and it looks the same as the 249. I do have the 242 shift box with bazel which I'll change, but it looks like the 249 linkage will hook up fine. Am I missing something?
Also, I saw somewhere that a simple wiring change in the rear of the VIC will show the correct info for the 242. Can't seem to locate the info now.
