2023 Grand Cherokee Paint Mismatch

We just took delivery and a Zynith Silver GC Summit Reserve. We notice a very clear difference in the color shade between the body (left-side rear fender) and the gas filler cover. Under full sun light the difference stands out boldly. The dealer acknowledges it too and feels the difference is due to the material (e.g. paint on metal parts vs. paint on plastic parts). The remedies offered are limited and do not include any level of confidence that FCA would acknowledge there is a real issue and/or fix it. We're pursuing that now. Anyone have an experience like this? I'm interested in anything you could share.

I have noticed a difference in shade between plastic painted surfaces vs metal painted surfaces in other vehicles the past few years, but not any I would consider bold differences.

Thanks @RedDawg. I too have seen minor shade differences specifically between body and the front and rear bumper fascia. This one is quite a bit more obvious unfortunately......likely due to the plastic being placed in the middle of a metal fender.

I see what you mean... it definitely sticks out being right in the middle like that.
