For years I had a "clunk" when I accelerated from 1st to 2nd gear...As the years went on, it got worse and worse. It eventually caused the service 4wd light, traction control light and transfer case to bind at slow speeds and backing up. So, after researching I changed the transfer case module and had it reprogrammed. Didn't change a thing. I then changed the actuator motor on the transfer case...no change...so I changed the whole transfer case.... fortunately, the "clunk" went away but still the clicking and service 4wd light stayed on...no fix!!! The binding at slow speeds is still there also. I took it to a local transmission specialist, and they had no luck. I had a diagnostic specialist out and he had no luck. The Jeep dealer in town is a month and a half out on appointments. I see problems like mine all over the internet but no solutions. Can anyone help me?
