I am planning on taking a week off from work for this trip, and wanted to make the most of it. I was going to leave MA on the 10th and head straight to VA, but I'll have like 2 days extra off.

Trying to see if anyone would be interested in heading down to Paragon on say the 8th, wheel it 9th then head to VA on the 10th. Or maybe even hit it on the way home instead, any ideas?

Not sure how much wheelin experience you have, but I think you'll find GSE will more than satisfy your itch for awhile. Seeing that this is your virgin GSE experience, I would say try that alone first, then if you still are up for it, hit Paragon on the way home.

I kind of figured it would be all that and even more, but I have the time off from work, just don't feel like sitting at home any more then I really need to.

still trying to figure out what to do about my dog, I really don't want to put him in a kennel, I hate those places, so I may have to make this a short trip.

Although, if anyone is really interested, let me know.

I'm just worried about getting thrown off the ride by the Big Dogs. I mean I emailed them questioning there reasoning for it, and he said that they are allowed in the camos but just not on the trails. He says they can recommend really good kennels that can just board them during the day, and I can get him each night, but I really don't want to leave him with them.

I'm working on my parents taking him for the week, hope it goes well, although this would be the first ride he hasn't gone with me.

Oh well I'll figure something out.

J... I'd worry about breaking something at Paragon and missing GSE. It could happen. I know I've broken bunches of stuff at PAP.

Of course that's just me

Fred, you're much to careful a jeeper to ever break anything!

Hunter :ZJ:

Hey Hunter, How are you these days? Omaha?? Man, you do get around.

Glad you modified that statement with the smiley > >

J... I think they had some problems with dogs on the trail. I don't know if somebody got bitten, or people (non dog lovers) were just annoyed, but that's the reason for the rule. I guess your dog would go bonkers if he was cooped up in a crate during the day, while you were out wheeling, huh? hmm... tough situation.

Yea it sucks, I'm still working on my rents taking him for the 5 days I'll be gone. Other then that I don't know what I'll do. I have to find out soon, so I can register.

Even though the back of ym grand isn't much bigger then a kennel, I would much rather have him with me where I can see him.

This would be my first GS, I really hope I can figure something out.

I would assume if he/she is confined to the cargo area during the trail ride and isn't barking insanely then you'd be fine. Kinda slipping under the radar kinda thing. None of the big dogs ride with us per say, but you might encounter them in passing out in the woods. If your dog is quiet and well beahaved IE: not drawing attention to itself, then its a no harm no foul type of thing.
