Yes and no,,,,
The property owner allows other groups to wheel there. They do however change an annual fee for the group (part of where your registration money goes),,,and require the groups to have liability insurance(part of where your registration money goes),,,etc. They have started doing this the last year or so. I know Land Rover had an event there last year.
These issues that were discussed in the general forum a few weeks ago about the liability of the organizers is releved by going in conjunction with Big Dogs. As the organizer for GSE this is a concern I (and Brian as the original) have thought about,, thus why all registration, money, liability waivers go through them. Not that I think any of you would ever sue me but,,,, we have had a few unhappy participants in the past over damage (luckily not injuries).

Alright, I was not aware that you coincided the GSE event with another event. Makes sense with the insurance though. We had a couple meetings devoted to insurance and liability when our local club was just forming, so I agree with the importance of being under a "higher power if you will"'s insurance coverage.Bruce said:

It's water under the bridge, I'm just seriously pissed off cause this will be my first missed GSE since 2001 and though I will miss the wheeling I will also not get to hang out with Bruce, Shay, Charles, Tracy among many others. To make matters worse it is actually the western "chapter" that has screwed things up by moving GSW so close to GSE although GSE has been always held on the same date give or take. Actually it does stray now cause IIRC it has always been the FIRST weekend of June, now begin the second. Not that I would dare impose but my personal feeling is that GSE should be split off the rest of the Big Dogs hoopla. It's fun and all but the place and more importantly trails are then hella crowded and aside from the Sat night palooza where we get to enjoy Skip's neverending ramblings and sucky band (ok there is a cool raffle) to me it is no huge benefit. Hopefully next years GS' will be at least weekend apart cause selfishly speaking, I'd love to attend them both. Sorry for this little rant, I certainly appreciate all the hard work Bruce, Charles and rest of the organizing crew is doing, I just hate the fact I will not be there to enjoy the fruit of their efforts.
I rather go to GSE than GSW only because I've never been to GSW and the guys at GSE are awesome. There is nothing like looking at Bruce and Charles early in the morning eating pancakes and trying to scare the noobies.

if the family weren't growing exponentially, I'd be there. I'd even bring Jay back for Shay to mess with.

WTF???? GSE and GSW the same weekend? Adam not coming? This just isn't right. Somebody needs to do something about this.
