Ok i have my s4w+bb installed. Now its time for tires and to do something about that front driveshaft, i have a 99 WJ with the stock front shaft, what do i need to do to replace that shaft with one that will work with this much lift, also what is the biggest tire i can put on this w/o cutting, 33s??

Thanks
Bruce

JP Magazine ( I think....) just did a update on a WJ lift that they performed. The drive shaft went south. They ordered a new yoke for the '00-up WJ and a new driveshaft. I saw the mag... just can't find it here now. They had the D/C part numbers in there.... but you may be able to find them cheaper.

I've done some serious off-roading with an S4W + 2" BB with Clayton's long arms on my 2001 WJ without any driveshaft issues. If you add a set of Clayton's to your setup, you should have the same "no drive shaft issues" experience --- and you will love the way your WJ handles off-road. I was able to run 32" MTRs with this setup without any fender trimming.

I didn't change out the front drive shaft until I swapped out the NV247 transfer case for an Atlas II. I didn't need to do any fender trimming until I went to 33" MTRs.

Clayton's LA's are a must in my opinion. Your on and off-road ride and steering will both benefit. I agree with Jim, I had no issues with 32" MTR's or DW with the LA's. Staying with the short arms is just not a good idea. Driveshaft length was never an issue until we changed out the axles & then TC.
