What do you guys think of this as a great setup for a pre99 4.0L? KandN FIPK2, Rubicon Express throttle body, power-aid spacer, Roller rocker arms, some sort of agresive cam, Boral SS exaust headers, 2.5 exaust pipes with a carsound cat and a flowmaster 40 series non-delta flow, an aux-oil cooler, aux-transmition cooler, MSD ignition and an electric fan...... is there anything that should or shouldn't be on this list.

I have began installing some of this stuff on my 98 Tsi 4.0 but I wanted to get some input from otehr people to see what was best. I wanted to get a bit more power before I install my 4.56 gears

i would start with the turbocity stage 3 kit. For 500.00 some odd dollars it includes the throttle body, air tube and cat back system. it has been dynoed at 26 honest rear wheel hp. I can tell you that after I installed it you could tell a 26hp difference, unlike most performance mods. That is where i would start, then look at there stage 4 add ons and work from there. Headers are too expensive for the 4.0 for the meager 5hp gain you are going to get. spacer will do zero and is a waste of money.

the aggressive will make it idle rough & will only help peak hp & torque not low end. It'll be ok for street driving but for wheelin' it could make your slow goes a little rougher.
