Yesterday I jumped into my 97 laredo and after awile I noticed that the interior lights would not shut off.
I checked the obvious reclosed all doors and played with dimmer switch, to no avail. I ended up having to pull the fuse
Anyone else have experience with the same problem.
Thanks

This is a new one for me. I have to ask the question, did you check all of the light switches? It will probably be something really easy.

Check the light switch on each door. The tip on one of mine for the door open warning was worn and that warning light would go on during turns. If one of yours for one of the interior light is broken or worn it could do the same. There are two different switchs for these functions.I was on a road trip so I duct taped a dime to the inside of the door frame and replaced the switch when I got home.

First question. Is you VIC telling you that any doors are open? Have you pressed the rear dome light ( at the rear hutch) to turn it on or off? I hvae this problem because i re-adjusted my rear tailgait un-intentionaly  . Now my rear hatch reads ajar and the light stays on.
Howler

do you have any type of aftermarket alarm in there that's connected to your dome light? Sometimes the brains get fried and the switch they're on doesn't close. Just an idea...

Thanks for the reply's , I put the fuse back in a couple days later and everything worked fine again. The only thing I can think of is maybe a pin switch on its way out or frozen. (it was real cold that morning)
One thing though, my Vic doesn't show my doors being open ever, also it only ever shows 2wd. (Its full time) I figured a burnt bulb that I hadn't got to yet but maybe something more since the doors don't show either..?

Had one in the shop today for that (Work at DC) the pin switch was pressed back too far into its clip, and it wouldnt be pressed enough by the contact on the door to close. Also the door locking mechanism was freakin shot....door wouldnt even shut properly!!
