Tuesday September 13th, I parked my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo across from where I live at about 11 pm. The next morning when I went to leave for work at around 9 am, all I found in that spot was a small pile of window glass.

After installing halo projectors with HID driving lights and HID high beams.

Funny picture I took.

Who would decide to risk an auto theft conviction for a 94 ZJ with 150,000 miles on it? Seriously, who is that stupid? That was my work/winter vehicle. I used it to carry tools and materials to job sites. I'm shopping for a replacement, but haven't found one in my price range yet.

If anyone sees it, do me a favor and call the cops for me. I'd appreciate it.
It's black exterior with gray molding and side step boards, gray cloth interior, has after market clear halo headlights and THREE roof cross bars (not the usual two).

VIN: 1J4GZ58S2RC283191

I think it ran away due to the ugly healights you put on it and the ******* guage cluster....lol

Kidding ofcourse! Its sucks she was stolen man. Ill keep and eye out for any parts or ZJs that look like it on craigslist and ebay

I know what you mean. That stuff was purely for practicality. I couldn't see poop at night with the stock headlights. The vacuum gauge was to help me keep my foot out of the throttle and my dollars out of the gas station.

Thanks for keeping your radar up for anything that turns up.

I wanted to tell everyone how this adventure turned out. The stolen truck is still MIA and will likely stay that way. I found a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the 4.0 L6 and lots of options my old truck didn't have. This one is also old and used with 150,000 miles, but it's a nice step up from the last one. I had to replace the lighter fuse, fix a ground in one of the tail lights and refinish the headlights. I also replaced the front bumper cover as the original one had a crack in it. Other then that, it's all there. PO was the original owner and the wife of a retired Chrysler mechanic, so most everything has been taken care of. Brake pads and rotors are brand new. I was told the radiator fan relay likes to burn out every several years, so a spare came sitting in the glove box.

Wood interior trim, leather seats and steering wheel, heated seats, Infinity Gold sound system with CD and cassette, the transfer case I like, cruise & radio controls on the steering wheel.

Power seats, windows & exterior mirrors, heated exterior mirrors, tilt wheel.

Fog lights, alloy wheels, those after market awnings that cover the tops of the windows.

Rear wiper, lift glass or lift hatch, roof racks, privacy glass.

Factory alarm with immobilizer and after market alarm with remote start. Four wheel disk brakes.

Enough room to fit Passat parts.

I took it to Detroit and back and was seeing low 20's MPG at 75 MPH. The old truck was only giving me mid teens at 55~60. The PO had just replaced a tie rod but hadn't had it aligned. On the highway in heavy cross winds, it was getting pushed around more than it should. I'll be looking into an alignment soon.

I test drove several Touaregs during my search. Boy, those things are nice when they are all optioned out. I'm keeping my eyes open for one optioned the way I like at a decent price. I may have to wait a while for that to pop up.
