ps i re-ran the wires for the rock lights so they aren't AS junky under the jeep

yeah, they work pretty good just the light isnt a wide enough beam so i gotta get some more to cover the whole undercarriage of the heep.

current project= hella 500s for the grill.

wheeled it all day today at Uwharrie national forest and it was pretty much "point and shoot application". point the tires and it'll go over the object, whether a rock, mud, tree etc etc.

fun time, LOTs of rigs out there.

as i went wheeling at uwharrie all day today, and i put all those spare nuts and bolts and spare **** that Cam so greatfully gave me with the axles and longarms in a styrofoam cooler (it was all i could find at the house) .....and so i get up on kodak rock (for those who haven't been to URE before...just a like 4-5 foot tall rock-face, wall like obstacle) and the cooler slides all the way through the cargo area, the bottom catches on the spare shafts at the back and tips it over (top on it at this point still) and slams it into the back gate( just tipped over at this point, most of the **** still in the cooler)
then i bump it a little bit in efforts to get up after a frustrating attempt to crawl and the back tires didn't want to up a 90 angle, and sooo the cooler bounces probably easily a foot in the air and smashes into many little pieces of styrofoam, initiating hundreds of greasy parts(nuts, bolts, hubs, hub parts, steering parts, etc) to spread throughout the cargo area of the zj.

lessons learned
1) sprap **** down/ wedge it between stuff really good like the first time i ran it and didnt bust the cooler
2) put spare parts in a not very easily broken container

For the love of god will you take off your stock bumpers already.
if you're paying for new ones!

and rock, i didnt have enough time to put my sliders back on, and i'm going to do cut outs this summer anyway...but the plastic trimming hides the bashed rockers, i can't wait to take that plastic off to see what its hiding, as i smashed the living hello out of the driver side right at the door on that obstacle, but it just scratches the plastic piece :) ... i was on it so much the plastic almost popped off, the pinch seam is flat now right under the driver door...but hey, who cares :)

HAHA! I knew something was up ;). Glad to hear your gonna take care of it this summer. Lets just hope it doesnt turn out like most plans do haha

yeah yeah yeah, its more of a "we'll see" kinda thing...haha

i figured out why it took me about 3 minutes longer to get up that obstacle this past trip, and i couldn't figure out what it was. before i had the front locked and the rear ARB'd but not engaged, this time i had f/r both locked and it took longer to get up....i guess its because its harder now

my driver rear tire was the reason i took so long to get up this time, because that rock isnt there, or all those other helping rocks people put there throughout the season, which have been taken away over the offseason when it's closed.

Unless somebody thought it made things too easy and just rolled it down the hill.:D

thats what the clubs that come and clean up the trails and refurbish the dirt that has been moved during the winter do. i've got pictures from the beginning of last years season when that rock ISNT there yet. it's really 1 of a couple hard things to do at uwharrie, so they try to keep it hard so that bigger built rigs still have appeal to come, other than just trail riding

How could somebody take a rock that size from a not so strategically placed spot? WEIRD
that rock is right where the driver side tires go up the obstacle. it was a whole lot harder if you to the right of where that is in the picture because its just a 90 wall instead of a stair like climb
