well,been around here for a while and thought it's about time to put up some pics of the current heep. I've had about 6 jeeps now and i'd like to keep this one a while(i tend not to hang on to vehicles very long) and really build it up,time and money are not really on my side right now though,lol.

I don't have alot done so far but i have huge aspirations.It's a 4.0, 242 t-case, so far i got the 4" IRO basic kit,FM exhaust,K&N,soft 8's,285/75/16 mud kings,stock axles,gears.. most other money spent on her has been maintenance and replacing stuff like,water pump,wheel bearings,a/c,cv's,sensors,battery,etc etc etc...

Looks like you are a jeep fan. I also regret getting rid of my ZJ. I loved the low end torque of the 5.2 (If it was a 5.9, I don't think I could have ever sold it.) The WJ is a better DD, but I liked the ZJ better off road and towing.

The newer rims on the WJ look much better. Its a pretty nice looking truck. What kind of gas mileage does that thing get?

Looks like you had quite the Jeep collection. You should list the other ones that you had.

thanks,horrible gas mileage lol... like 16-ish.yea,i had a couple z's,one other w and another x,but i don't have any pics

yes sir TR, it was a very tuff bumper...i might try and buy that back some day,lol. I never had any problems with that beast.

well,always fiddling around on the jeep,usually nothing too noteworthy but heres a couple:

-installed a new dorman E-fan,that was a biotch,no pics but i'm sure you know what they look like

- found a tiny rust bubble on the fender,sanded it down,put some rust converter on it. Next step is primer and i got a spray can of OEM paint for $20 online,seems to match pretty good. Then i'll clear it,it won't loo perfect i'm sure but thats fine

-Got the IRO relocation/dual stabilizer setup installed today. Front end felt a little different since getting the new wheels and this really seemed to help out however i wish i was still working at my old fab shop cause i could have made these brackets very easily and saved the money.

-Did a little more trimming(rockers) and painted my hubs and lugs black just til i get some new ones.
Sorry for more poser shots,i actually got a chance to get her offroad a little bit the other day but i forgot the stupid camera!

thanks....yea,if you have the tools it would be very easy to fab. it's basically just a "U" bracket and the other one is just your basic drag link style clamp. KOR's anti-death wobble kit for the wj actually just uses two of those clamps to mount the stabilizer between the drag link and track bar but i like the IRO set up better and it's cheaper plus i really like the tenneco stabilizers.

yea,i would def say go for it. I know alot of people would say you don't need dual stabilizers but i look at it like this,the top names in grand cherokee aftermarket like kolak,kevin,IRO all make and/or sell and/or recommend them especially on wj's since the stock stabilizer is connected to the tie rod and not the drag link. And i really noticed a difference adding one,i thought the steering felt good before but it feels better now.

brake work

nothing special but got some brake work done today. the rear pads were shot so i had the rotors turned and new pads out back. Then i moved to the front,replaced the pads and put new rotors on because i still have the junk *** teves calipers and they warped the rotors. I was getting some pulsing along with a little DW when i hit the brakes but the new rotors seemed to cure that. My next step would be to upgrade to the akebono calipers as money permits.

also whats the length of the rear sway bar links? i have some old teraflex links from my TJ when i had a 4in lift and im wondering if they are the same lengths and can use them when i lift the WJ

yea,it's on there. I also was considering the A-arm spacer but IRO recommended adj. rear lowers if i put that on,i don't have the funds for arms right now,it seems fine the way it is anyway.

they're about 15" end to end.

thanks..i was trying to figure if i could get away with a not putting a few parts of the lift on and buy it piece by piece but i think im just going to order the whole kit and go that way..then when i get money get adj ctrl arms..one last thing since im going with about the same exact set up as you (lift and wheels) could you post up pics of where you trimmed..just want to start looking at where im going to need to cut up some..as stated ill be running the exact same rims and im getting a set of 285s not sure yet on what kind..thanks again for all the info and help

well,you can actually see most of my trimming in the pic above^^...on the backside of the tire,i trimmed the edge of the plastic cladding off and hammered the seam a little,took off the plastic rockers and trimmed that back quite a bit and cut half the inner fender well plastic out(can't really see that). on the front,there was just that chunk of the bumper and i also cut that inner fender well half out too but after i took that pic. i'll get some better pics tomorrow and i'm happy to help however i can. I'm in the same boat with getting this kit first(can't go wrong for the price) and saving up for the arms etc. however,i'm really happy with the all around performance/quality of this basic kit just the way it is and this is my DD.
