Right on, looks like you've spent a good amount of time in prep. A little tip I want to share is using your oven too, if the pieces fit I always give parts a little warming before tacking them, helps any oils from your hands or anything else rise out of the piece, and a little heat to cure the paint hard after painting. Of course don't over do it, if you are lucky your oven will let you run it real low, 150* or so, if not, cycle it by manually, and pop the door open. I want one for the garage.

another little update on my painting

ive still got to lay a coat or two more of clear on the vents. ive got one 2 coats of clear on the grill and am gunna lay about two more. its a long process. have to wait 24 hours between laying a coat and sanding it. i did however put the grill on just to see what it looks like painted. heres a couple pics

Don't you worry about the measurements, I'm going out with a tape measure and a camera so you can see exactly what and where the 5,9 vents are and look like. Can't get more specific then that!

Personally I don't care if people were to call you a poser.... I'd throw it right back in their face and say I get way better ventilation with the 5.9 stuff... And they can shove their poser crap right up their rear end... (And I don't mean their turdy-five)

o i could care less what they think. i just find it humorous when they feel im posing and/or copying them and that the sanctity of their 5.9 realm has been breached. haha

Sweet pick up, throw him in the forum now and we can watch his grow  How'd those measurements work out for you on the vents? Make sense a little better after you lay the vents on the hood?
