Bought the ZJ about two months before I turned 15, buut being that sweet ole' Momma paid for it... it was off limits for over a year
...in here words, it wasn't exactly mine yet, not untill I turned 16, it was my 16th birthday present. Fair enough, I guess...
1996 Grand Cherokee (obviously)
318ci
21x,xxx miles (I don't remember exactly how many when she bought it)
some pos 225/70/16's that had nothing left on them
44re
np249
d30 and d44hd w/ 3.73
radio didn't work
all speakers were dry rotted
torn leather seats
wouldn't idle
no heat or air
$1500 repo
but I gotta Jeep
next: new tires, momma picked em out as a surprise, which was very much appreciated, buuut the tires themselves, ahh not so great : (
225/70/16 Uniroyal Laredo's
new thermostat
regular fluid changes and what not, only time momma would pay for it so it got taken to a shop... but the guy built his xj from a totaled jeep that he fund at a junkyard, now it's one BAMF haha, so i some what trust him with mine... but not all that much.
then i wrecked it.... $900 in body damage (same place that momma took it before, they're not charging but about 1/4 of typical labor costs)
$490 to get it driveable again... new radiator and support and they had to bend the "frame"....
so i got her running again, still have body damage but it'll be trimming out before i get the rest of it fixed...
some stock wheelin pics...
then disconnected the sway bar... and this happened
went down to the junkyard in may sometime, and picked up some f250 springs...
through trial and error i realized that they need to be cut up a little bit to fit, did the cutting... have no pics of that, but this is the f>r swap w/ f250 springs
and with 32's i bought used for 120
cleaned up the rear diff cover and painted, i actually didn't mean to paint it silver but i liked it and kept going....
then removed the front bumper (it's been ripped off so many times and barely hung on, it was time to go) and made a little radiator protector...
and that's where she sits now...
