my daughters 1997 4.0 grand won't go into reverse. linkage seems to move on outside of trans. if shifter is put into reverse jeep feels like its in park. if put into neutral its in drive. drive 2 and 1 operate normaly. will now also start in neutral position but lurches forword. i hate automatics! any help would be appreciated. the jeep has 190,000 miles on her. the trans was rebuilt about 60,000 miles ago. again if its in drive it shifts thru all the gears perfect upshifting and downshifting.
