Do the lift a week before you are ready to buy new tires. This will limit the amount of time you have to drive around in a funny looking rig :p  .

As an added bonus you can get the lift on before you buy tires and then you'll be able to see if you can fit 32s.

X2 on Horus's idea. Limit the amout of time you are driving around on what appears to be donuts  You going to snap pictures of the install?

Would be next weekend unless I wait for tires. I am getting my rebate check should be today and buying a 95 Orvis to try and get running. If I can I am going to sell it and use that money for new rims and tires other wise I am going to part it out and hope to get the money for atleast tires. I can't justify new tires to my wife since I have brand new 235/75/15 goodyears in my garage.

If you're planning on running 31's I wouldn't worry about it. But if it were me I'd put the lift on and run it for a while and see if you can get a bigger tire under it. I'm running 31x10.5 on mine, and I have a 4" lift, no problems at all except it looks a little funny.

So you're buying an Orvis, then flopping it for money/parting it out to buy tires and wheels? As for the tires, give the wifey the tires

Rover, do you have a pic of your 4" on 31's in your build. I'm just curious to see what it looks like.

I thought about keeping the Orvis as my DD and using my 94 as my wheeling rig. The Orvis is going to cost me about $400-500 so if I can get it up running for very little I may sell it or keep haven't decided. As for the tires they won't fit on the wifey's WJ

Sounds look you got it all sorted out [smilie=bal_cool.gif] Hope the Orvis comes through.

Got my stimulus check today so the orivis is mine for sure. Just have to decide wether to get it running and keep it or sell it. If its too much hassle to get it runnign it will get parted out and I may transplant part of my 94 into it since the Orvis has a better body on it.

Is there anything particularly wrong with the Orvis. I hope it's an easy fix if so.

Its been sitting for a while and the last time the ran it went about 100 yards and died. I am thinking it may be bad fuel and was told to add a thing of heet and more fuel if we were talking about 1/4-1/2 a tank of gas. I know it needs a battery and then if I can figure the running thing out I will have a major decision to make so any tips on what would cause it to die after 100 yards?
