I just bought my first jeep (1993 jeep grand cherokee limited 5.2l) recently and was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a supercharger or turbocharger kit/how-to at. I have searched for hours on the subject and have returned minimal results. I am looking for headers cams etc. also. Any help much appreciated...

i accidentally posted this in the perf. garage section earlier, so my apologies to the mods. of the forums...

get a 98 with a 5.9L and then fix it up....it'll be much faster

Well i have a 93, i got a good deal on and 96 and below you dont have to worry about emissions so thats another plus for the 93 i have. Is there any other performance parts, cams, heads, etc. i could put on?

well you'll want better axles if you plan to get bigger tires than 33's, and especially with a supercharger....or if you take it offroad.

those can be found at a junkyard...7" lift requires more than just bolt ons, sorry to break the news to you

I would say is your gonna be going that high, your gonna end up wanting to change axles, driveshafts, Transfer case.

What kinda wheeling do you plan to do?

That would make it easier to determine what you should get, what makes you want 6.5?

silver lake dunes michigan and maybe a lil bit of rock crawling at uari. the norm will probably be mudding...
so if i dont go over 33's i dont need to do any other mods?
you'll still want new axles with 33's and a 5.2, even if you dont supercharge it....because you have a lp30 front and a 35c rearend...which i wouldn't wheel past 31s unless you plan on babying it, which isn't fun

what are your mechanic-cal skills and fab skills before we tell you what you aught to do because axle swaps, welding longarms to a unibody and putting a supercharger on...aren't for beginners

I am ok at mechanical work i guess. I have 3 mechanics in my close family, i personally am going into dental school, lol... I may have a pro do the lift though...
I have a mig, and a tig welder, drill press, a sawzall, a vice, wrenches, a powerfull hand drill, bits, a jack, jack stands, bench grinder, vicegrips, c-locks, hammers, hacksaws, dremels, and my dad can help me put it in... If there are directions i can probably follow them... I have never welded in my life but my friend is a professional welder. I am looking to get the most for my money also...
