Alright guys,
I'm looking at adding a better sound to my wj and maybe alittle power too.I wanted to know what some of the other members use as mufflers, cats and exhaust combos.I also have the 4.7 and maybe others with the 4.7 please help me out. i'm looking for the best exhaust combo for the money.
Thanks in advance
Matthew

[smilie=1wj2.gif] i went with the gibson catback.the increase in milage was about .5 miles per gallon.thats normal driving.the sound is not bad,not too loud.it was $227.00 shipping included..good luck there is a wealth of info. and exhausts out there...

My 4.7 has a flowmaster on it. It is actually really quiet. I am not sure which flowmaster it has on it as it was already installed when I bought the WJ. It has a good sound to it, but not nearly as mean as the sound of the ZJ with a flowmaster. The ZJ sounds way better.

My brother in law had a magnaflow and a nice tip on his 4.7, and it had a mean growl to it. I have always like the flowmaster though, but this is because I like the way they sound on my Camaro. I usually can find them for around $80-$90 at a local exhaust shop.

I cut my factory muffler off and welded in a straight pipe with a 3 1/2" stainless tip...i love the sound and it cost me a whole 25 bucks. I have so many people stop me and ask what motor and exhaust i have on it...everyone tells me it sounds like a LS1 T/A.

i did the same thing for about 10 mins it is loud as hell and decreased hp alot , i went with a magnaflo hiflow cat and a 50series flowmaster and its great now

I had a flowmaster 40, it sounded great, boosted the power too. But now since Claytons is on my WJ i had no room for the 40. I have a hushpower on it now. It is a little noiser but performs good, plus it's stainless. Good luck.
