I'm having a local shop install a lift kit and shocks on my ZJ this week. I would also like to get an Aussie locker for the dana 44A. How much time is required to install one??

Thanks, Doug

depends if the cross pin breaks off and you can't get it in or out. if that happens, have fun. mallcrawlin has some experience on that i think. otherwise, it shouldn't take more than an hour if the person has opened a differential before. you should be able to do it yourself in a matter of minutes if you know how to use a screw driver and sockets.

The install should be relatively easy. Should be around 100 or less to have it installed. I'm installing mine with a couple friends in a couple weeks.

I wouldn't mind doing it myself except I have an inner ear problem. If I lay on my back and work on something above my head, I'll get sick in 10 seconds (like motion sickness) and sometimes it lasts for several hours. I used to do most of my repairs, but no more.

That sucks. My step-dad got quoted around 125ish to have a rear locker installed.

I'm in Benson, AZ for a couple months. Where in the Tucson area can I get a Locker?? Might even have them install it.
