What is your guys opinions on the best sounding flowmaster for a 5.2 ZJ? I am bout to get exhaust put on and i was wanting a good sounding exhaust but i dont want it too loud... i just want it deep. Im not tryin to set off any alarms or anything like that, ill let my system handle that part. Thanks James

I am planning on keeping my stock cat, i just want my pipes to be noticable... i was thinking of the 40 delta flow cause i wanna be able to hear things other than my pipes, inside my car that is....

I really like my 70 series. The sound inside the jeep was a little too loud with a 40 series.
Did you have the regular 40 series or the delta flow? Cause i think the delta flow is sposed to be quiter on the inside, but just as loud on the outside....

The 70 series is huge! But fairly quiet. It was kinda funny, at home my ZJ seems loud (compared to my neighbor's bone stock Orvis 5.2) but you couldn't hear it at all at GSE (compared to the many 50 series and longarm bullet/turndown guys)
whodat

hey i have a 3" delta-flow 40. it's got a nice low-rumble inside, and when you really stomp on it, it sounds damn sweet. better than my friend who has a 3" 50 series. However somehow some metal pieces or something got inside the muffler casing, and my exhaust shop is going to give me a new one.. except its going to be a 30 series. I can't wait to see what that sounds like. Supposedly a tad quieter than a 50 series, but a lot more throaty sounding

Do you have the stock cat? Also are you 5.2 or 5.9?

It was not a Delta Flow, just the regular 40 series I believe.

Does it have to be a flowmaster? I just had a DynoMax ultra-flow welded up and it sounds awesome, and isn't all that loud. And it flows better than any flowmaster.

Something like $60 from Summitracing.com
I never thought of going with another brand, ive just heard alot of good stuff bout flowmasters... What size engine you got?

Both Dynomax and Flowmaster are good mufflers. It basically is a matter of preference. I had previously had a Dynomax and was very pleased with it and the sound was good. It had a very nice rumble. However, I did like the Flowmaster sound a little better so I ended up going with them.
