Hey people..

I wanted to give my 04 a tougher stance and some slightly bigger tires. I'm not looking for an offroad look by any means.

So I guess my question is, is there a 1 inch lift out there or something I can do to give it a tougher look without sacrificing the ride?

Any advise would be appreciated!

Budget Boost, they are essentially spacers that go between the spring & body, make sure you get a set with bump stop extenders. The bump stops prevent your wheel from compressing in the your fender's sheet metal. If you want to keep your ride longer shocks are recommended to ensure you maintain proper wheel travel over bumps & stuff. With this set up you can squeeze bigger tires on your Jeep giving it the look you want. I'll post a pick of mine once I find one.

OME is great, but not cheap

I've got the Old Man Emu set up and really like it. It's supposed to be about 1 1/2" to 2", but it actually lifted the Jeep just slighly more than that.

Thanks for the help!!
With the upcountry package they claim it gives you 3" over the standard springs when you add the 2" BB pucks. The upcountry package includes heavier springs from the factory.

Glad to help.

I've got some 2.5" spacers if you are interested. I bought them from kevinsoffroad.com. I put on some 4" springs so I don't need them anymore. $100 shipped.

Here are some pictures of my '96. I just put the lift in and went with 31x10.5 BFG KO's. It came out just like I'd hoped. It only took a little bit of trimming on the corners of the front spoiler to get rid of tire rub.

I installed the BB myself and it went pretty smooth. My only problem was lining up the axles to get the trackbars back on.

I found my pucks on ebay for around $20 apiece front and rear.

If you have any questions about the install let me know.

I just put the 2" BB on my 02 WJ last weekend. I bought it from Rustys offroad and paid about $100 including shipping. Looks sweet, rides the same, now I can fit 31" tires on it (supposedly). Best of all, it was really easy to install. I rented a spring compressor from Autozone (free if you return it) and it took me about 2 or 3 hours start to finish.
