What are the pros and cons of either leaving the dust boots on shocks or taking them off?

They can fill up with mud, trash, whatever when you go wheelin' and trap that stuff inside.

Thatś true! But,if you living in area,where is salt on the road in winter time,boots are great great covering of piston rod. I´ve see many shocks damaged by little stones and salt after that,if they were w/o boots or covers

A little steel wool will take off the rust. I pontificated for quite some time on this one & opted to not install them.

boots

those boots are lame, unless you get them in fluorescent green or something.
