I'm looking at getting a 2" lift for my GF's Jeep. It's a 97, Laredo, 6? It's never going to hit the dirt, just a daily driver.

Also, I'm new here. Where are some other boards for good reading?

Thanks for the help

Hey, it's a 2WD, you might as well get some drop springs and road tires.
H & R Sport Springs do the trick, trust me......you (and she) will love it....

there's a 2wd lift kit (spacers) from daystar good for about 1.75" lift.. 145 bucks... YOu might be able to run 31 10.50's with the lift, but would have ajor rubbing issues offroad, but seems as it's 2wd and wont be going offroad, you should be fine.. BFG AT's are good tires... if not those, go with a 30 inch tire. As for other forums, there is this one "other" place... jeepsunlimited.com but most people tend to not like it, as there are soo many members and its hard to get good honest help from people over there.. although good thoughts/opinions can be found if you look hard enough

You can find it for less than $145. Any of the lifts these guys talk about for their 4x4s will work fine with your girlfriend's RWD. The 2-inch "Budget Boost" is just a set of 4 pucks--1 for over each spring. Do a search for the words (not screen name) Anthony or Anthony's BB on here, or at JU, and you will find his e-mail address listed in many posts. He'll make them any size you want and has a much better price. You can also watch around the forums (especially in the "For Sale" one) for someone selling one used. They can be had at very fair prices, and they're pretty easy to put in (especially if you have air tools).
