i must be the biggest tard around these days so i apologize in advance.. i am trying to install an interface that allows me to use my stereo hand controls for an after market radio. in order to do the install i need to find the radio remote control switch. By the shitty directions it says it may be located in the stearing wheel column. How can i remove the casings around the key cylinder? or has anyone messed with something like this before and know a better way? thanks for your time.

Radio controls

On the ZJ they are on the back side of the steering wheel at the 9 and 3 o'clock position. Not all ZJ's had them. They were available only with the premium sound systems.

Check on wjjeeps.com i believe that is where i saw a write up on how to replace the steering wheel, it showed all the buttons etc. if not there do a search.

I have premium sound on my 97 and no remote controls, so I guess it was an option even with premium sound. [smilie=bal_ask.gif]
