i usually do [smilie=bal_thanx.gif]

i just want to make sure i just wasn't lucky :???:

I had the same problem last week and freaked out the whole way home, about 80 miles. Why? Side winds and OTHER DRIVERS. Admittedly I could not have done this before my lift as the shocks were all bad and the springs were not rated high enough to compensate. I removed my rear sway bar and had no problems but a combo of both; no way, not for me any way. Its not your driving you've got to worry about... its others. How many times has someone suddenly cut you off or merged into your lane and you've had to avoid THEM??? Be careful.

yeah... i'm a pretty defensive driver and am always driving a mile ahead of myself so i try to avoid bad situtaions at all costs.

i've been looking into a full 3.5" kit that comes with disco end-links... just seeing if i can get by till then. i can't replace with stock or i'll bust them again. and why by a set of extended ones now when a set will be in the kit.

we'll see.

You don't disconnect off road? That's why I broke mine. I had not wheeled with the new lift and had not gotten extended brake lines and did not want to tear a line so I stayed connected and blammo, I thought it was an axle shaft letting go. I just replaced the whole bar with another one with older style end links, the ones that are just a post and not pressed into bar. I am going to RE discos though so you could have mine for the cost of shipping if your interested.

I highly recommend running with the swaybars on the road and then discoing for the trail.

HAHAH...currently running no front or rear....usually run a rear...its a little crazier with the rear off....im jsut waiting to get new endlinks for the rear...the front is off...and is never going back on.

I think it's been said but I'll echo it - as long as you're not in an emergency accident avoidance situation you're ok. But if a deer or a dog or worse a child runs out in front of you and you have to swerve, you're probably going to loose control.
I ran w/o my front sway for 3 weeks waiting for RE to replace my disco sleeve and bolt and while I got used to it, I was very aware that I didn't have the stability for an emergency maneuver in a vehicle already on the lower side of vertical stability.

I've been driving without my front or rear for over a year now. It was very scary at first but I'm completely comfortable with it now. I may Put it back on when I lift it again. I just have to see how it handles with the new springs and shocks before I do.

If you swerve for a deer, you deserve to wreck. Didn't you ever learn to not swerve for animals.

A kid is a little different - you would likely only be going 20-35 mph anywhere where children are present.

sway bars are for women. Pull them off and throw them in the garbage.

There's nothing like turning into a corner, 9.5" of lift on 36" iroks and going 3 wheels through the whole corner
Lol I read and and said to myself "he's either running a spool or a Detroit"

I can't get on 3 tires because of my ARB. If you guys are open/selectable locker in the rear, no swaybars aren't that bad. But the full lockers will give a whole new definition to "I just sh*t myself".

When my lockrite messed up and fully locked itself.....goign around a corner was umm.....wow. Id also pull in my drive way and get out and look at my jeep and id be flexed out a little bit. Crazy
