Just bought this head unit to replace my old ghetto one... Does anyone have this stereo? It looks really nice and it got really good reviews. Also, i doubt it comes with the wiring harness, does anyone know where i can get one? Is it easy to find one for that model or do i need to purchase one online. The model is below:

Pioneer Dehp77Dh Single Play Compact Disc For Gm Or Chrysler Vehicles (PIONEER DEHP77DH)

Thanks guys! [/b]

I can't say anything useful but please post some pics after you get it in, my stock unit seems to be on its last leg and I am considering what I will get when it is time to replace it. Seems like you could talk to your local car audiostore about getting a harness, I dunno tho. Sorry.

pick up your wiring harness from circuit city. or best buy, or any other automotive stereo shop. $20 max. all pioneer wiring harness' are the same (unless you've got an ancient unit). so ask for a "Pioneer to Jeep Wiring Harness". someone should know what you're talking about.

thank you sir!

anytime... I've got a pioneer head unit as well... good stuff. You might even have to be more specific, "Pioneer to '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Head Unit Wiring Harness". but, you get the idea.... Good luck.

I've seen that HU, and like it, but it doesn't have MP3 support. I have a Pioneer DEH-P3700MP in my Neon and my Ranger and like that model a great deal. I hadn't owned a Pioneer in over 10 years, so it was nice to enjoy this model. I like MP3s as a single CD can last hundreds of miles...

Is that the Double din oversized one? I have that in my tahoe. I didnt want to run one of those stupid kits that sets a small headunit in there, they look like crap. Its a great head unit, the radio reception isnt as good as the factory bose in my acura, but that might just be my antenna/ wiring. Really its just a standard pioneer head unit that was enlarged. THe CD sound quality is great, but i'm not running factory speakers. I've got infinity Kappas all around, plus new Kappa 6x9's powered by a seperate kenwood amp and 2 kappa perfect 12" subs powered by a fosgate amp. That head unit has a ton of outputs in the back, and really is easy to install (in a chevy anyway). Its not fancy, just a basic great sounding, good looking head unit. If you're looking for bling, this isnt it, if you're looking for a good head unit that fills out a dash nicely, you've got the right one.

That headunit is so overpriced it isn't even funny. I don't know why people even buy it. A din sized radio looks fine in a ZJ.

I really like the full size units. But I just wish I could find one that plays mp3 cd's.

I have this unit. Yeah one thing that it doesn't have is MP3 support but what I did was use the units IP-Bus and added a aux. input and connected my SkyFi II unit, or if I want I could connect my iPod or other MP3 player. I didn't know if you knew about this option but it's an alternative and you don't need to use those poor fidelity FM modulator adapters.

Hope This Helps,

haha.... I bought an IP-Bus off of ebay about 2 months ago.
