Default tranny swap on a 4.0

i have a 94 w/ 5" lift 32s, ford 8.8 rear, quadratrac, and a blown tranny. what are my options for tranny replacement?? i kinda want a stronger one since this is my second one in 100k. thanks

Hey I would contact Kolak@aol.com I got my Level 10 kit from him along with the transgo Shift kit. If you are rebuilding your tranny I woild suggest installing a breather tube as well.

i have not done any tranny work before, and im not too good with the lingo, and what not. could someone maybe give me some sort of an explanation about what i should do. if i cant find something interesting and different to trry, im prob. just gonna go with a junkyard tranny. thanks

I don't do tranny work either. Most of the time when your tranny goes you bring it to a shop and they rebuild it. Just if you buy the parts from Kolak they will be better than if they were to just rebuild it with stock parts.

I saw somthing on here about using a tranny from a 4.0 XJ, it's suposed to be a stronger tranny and would bolt right up to the engien, but would the computer throw a fit?
