Never thought this day would come. My Dueler MT 33"s are a bit too small so I am debating over MT/R's or BFG MT/Km's in the 35" range.

I think it LOOKS really good. You would be better off with 35s of course.

Wow. Not suggesting that you do it, but it looks like you could lower your Grand about 2" and still fit 35s. I really like the way you trimmed the front and rear fenders and will be trying to copy your work next week when I get my WJ trimmed. I would appreciate any details you can provide me. Looks like you went right to the rear door. Did you fold over a piece of the rear fender when you did it? Also, looks like you trimmed an inch or more from the top of the wheel wells. I would appreciate any advice you can give here too. Looks great. But you really NEED bigger tires. Jim |

Jim: I actually have NOT trimmed much at all. The only places are in the rear next to the rear door. I used an angle-grinder and a HAMMER to beat the peices back that I had cut, then covered it with rubberized undercoating. I did though sand it down with a Craftsman 50 grit wheel for the angle grinder. Not to bad. I am going to try a few things with my springs once the 35s go one. But we will see.
Nate: Like I said, I am going to put the 35s on their and see. I like the height I am at now and it wheels fine, YET, as anyone could guess, I do feel a bit tippy in off-camber situations, that is why I am thinking about reinstalling the RE 4.5 rear coils and adding the spacers need to compensate for the lift. Thanks for your post and I will get pics up as soon as the tires go on. peace Bennett |
