the only lights that come on on my cluster are the backlights and none of the gauges work. turns over like a champ then falls right on its face and dies. even with the jeep floored or half throttle or feathering it it dies out. checked all the fuses and relays i could think of it being. i just inswtalled a battery last night and took it to the hospital this morning and there is where iot started doing this when i went to leave. the remote locks dont work either.
i unhooked the battery for about 10 minutes and tried to get at the pcm to unhook that like it says to do in the haynes manual. but it seems i lose more tools then i can get. i could only get 2 of the 3 bolts out. any suggestions?! this is my wifes daily driver and she works everyday so i need to figure this out ASAP.! Devin,

Off the top of my head I would consider the Auto Shut Down relay is acting up or sticking. It is labeled ASD under the hood fuse panel. Its a black square (not sure how familiar you are with cars), switch that out with another relay in there that you know works. Also, if the keyless entry doesn't work then you need to lock it and unlock it with the key on either the passenger door or the tailgate since the sensor in the driver's door usually goes bad. Try this and report back.

Usually, to reset the PCM, you just have to disconnect the battery for 10-15 mins. You don't have to disconnect the PCM.
First off, with no warning lights or gauges, it sounds like you have a CCD Bus problem. When you swapped the battery, did you by chance accidentally hook it up backwards? Even briefly? This could cause problems in the electrical system. Make sure all your connections are tight, and than you didn't rip loose any grounds.

nope i hooked it up right. replaced the pos. cable because that was junk before. there is a wire that is just hanging i have never seen before. it is wrapped in the factory harness. it has 2 wires and one is lb/or and the other one is black. im not sure where it goes i have been all through my haynes manual to try and figure it out but i havent gotten anywhere.
after it was loaded on the tow truck last night for the second time i realized there are no headlights either?! man it just keeps getting better lol... i brought it to a dealer so they can hook up a diagnostic machine to it and see where they can get. hopefully they get somewhere! thanks guys. devin,
