I always had a good experience in snow with my BFG AT's. Not a bad all around tire in my experience, just not great in mud. That's my 2 cents.

I think they are a great tire in the snow. I have the wrangler AT/S on my Tahoe and they dont do quite as well. Part of it is the vehicle though.

I ran BFG AT/KOs for about a year and they were the best AT tire I've ever run in the light snow, ice, and on road. I swapped the out for siped MTs and better mud traction and grip on rocks. but overall the ATs get my vote. For a general all around tire for all but the harshest terrain they will serve you well and last long.
Mike.

Simply put, they are awesome on packed snow and ice.

Only tire better in the snow and Ice are the Norsman AT's (currently the MT Kevlar things)
They are great in the snow. |

Pretty good, actually, if you have them siped and run them aired down a bit. Also helps to have a light foot or you could dig yourself in.

Why would you air down for snow?

Don't you get a better contact patch on harder packed snow if aired down?
