Default lots of creaking when turning

Whenever i turn there is a lot of creaking in the steering wheel... I am guessing it is the power steering gearbox b/c i replaced the pump about a year ago... Could it be anything else? I dont have a sttering stablizer but would that casue this?Yes i have fluid in the power steering pump. Any help please

could be your track bar, check the tb bracket for movement, and the bolts for slop.

alright... its a real bad creakin especially when offroad and flexing out it creaks soooo bad.

is the durango box a simple bolt on? or are there mods that need to be done?

Bolts in but has 4 mounting points instead of the stock 3 so you'll have to drill another hole for the 4th bolt. Get a PSC box instead of a Durango one, it bolts in as well with 4 mounting points.

Sounds more like you need to grease all of your steering joints. I would try that before replacing the entire steering box.

soudns good... um they said about a year ago i had a leak in the gear box so i put stop leak in it and it hadnt leaked much and now its really creaking and feels like somethings going to break... how hard is it to replace it and install? thanks maxx and everybody else

or get one from a junkyard cheap, and get a kevin's steering brace.

PS: Never use any type of stop leak. It will seal everything up, but will ruin all of the internals in the entire system. For instance: Stop leak in your radiator-clogs thermostats, causes premature failure in water pumps, etc.
