Well today i spent replacing the front brake pads on my grand, well that didnt last long, jacked it up,got the tire off and for some reason, i just couldnt get the caliper bols off, i used a wrench, socket wrench, vise grips, and some cleaner. but i couldnt muster to even loosen the bolts. any suggestion on getting them off. Im to the point that i could easily strip them.would wd40 work?

wd40, let it soak for a while, and a little heat applied to the knuckle...

well i tried your suggestion, i took a socket wrench and hammer and gentle wacked away, well to my cheap sockets, the socket shattered to peices.
Now it has to be serviced, I guess i have one more solution, do you think using an impact wrench would work blowing the bolts off? |

impact wrench will work. remember though that caliper bolts are factory torqued to 12 lbs, so make sure you're not tightening the wrong way. the 12 lbs is also an important number, so have a good torque wrench handy. [smilie=pirate.gif]

i got it off, never buy cheap tools, they always end up with bad results. Replaced the bolt with new ones.
