Default Iron D44 rear

the good:
5x4.5
ZJ width
real D44, not a D44a
big drum brakes
30 spline
3.55
works!
includeds e-brake cables
rear brake shoes 50-60%
no rust
no c-clips, it is semi-floating

adjustments for zj's:
currently setup for an XJ, you will need to make/buy or take brackets off your axle to make this work.. all you need to do is get a junked ZJ D35 housing, cut off the brackets and weld them on... basically the same setup as an 8.8

no abs

i will ship this (about $100-$150) or can deliver/pickup withing reasonable distance of southern louisana

i was planning on keeping the D44 shafts that are in the axle currently... for spare for my other axle, but can include them with the axle

pricing:
complete: $425 obo + shipping
complete minus shafts: $350 + shipping
"bare" housing $300 + ship (no shafts, no yoke, no e-brake cables, no drums, ill keep the gears and brake hardlines in there though)

will consider trades for jeep stuff, i am specifically looking for:
D30 shafts complete (with large d44 joints) and hubs if you got them
96+ steering box in very good condition
(one) 33x12.50 BFG MT on 15x8 rim (spare)
D30hp and D44 diff guard or HD cover
adj front UCA's

when I had the cover off all the ring gear teeth looked good, no chips or anything like that

Is this a locked rear end that you are selling or is it an open. I noticed you didn't say in the ad but your rig is locked.

Thanks,
Jamie

Ha ha, wow I didn't even notice that. I've been spending too much time shopping around for things for my new ZJ. I upgraded from a 2 door XJ. Now I have to find all the parts to make it as capable off-road and with towing. I don't think I am going to bother installing nitrous on this one though
