In the future I am going to rebuild my stock 5.2 in my 94 zj. When I do I plan to use a stroker crank and 5.9 heads to add some more punch. I would like to upgrade my radiator now as I am addressing the cooling system. I found a all aluminum 2 core radiator off flee bay, was wondering if any one had an experience with it or similar.
I bought one of those off ebay. I got the gdi racing one or something like that. It was cheap. I've been running it in my stock zj 5.2 for almost a year now. I did make a few small modifications to get it to fit well. First I hogged out the radiator bushing mount hole in the lower tie bar for side clearance so it'll fit well. Other than that, less minor mods. It uses a smaller size radiator cap like you find on imports. It cools my zj just fine.
I'm running a CSF racing 2row aluminum radiator, flowkooler hi-flow water pump, hi flow thermostat and hi flow thermo. housing, with new hoses and they've increased my cooling immensely
