Transmission stuck - North American Grand Cherokee Association

Hi,
Today the transmission on my new GC Overland got stuck, while driving, on 4th. gear. I could not bring it back to D or to any other gear

. When I down shift, I always bring it back no problem....only after shutting the engine down and wait a little it got back to D...???

Any explanation will be neatly appreciated.

If it's new the stealership should cover it under warranty.

I was wrong....the gear is still stuck in 4th....hardly move this morning.... it suppose to go back to D when you hold the shift handle to the right, but it does not...????
