Hi:Guys

1- I am looking into regearing in the next few months. I'm looking at 4.10's or 4.56. I am now running 3.55 w/ BFG 31's . My baby is a 98ZJ I6.
Looking to run 32 or 33's. Will be getting a Re4.5 in a Few months also.
Which gears will be best for me. I do mostly city driving.
4.10 or 4.56 ?? :spank: :spank:

2- when I regear, should I upgrade to a Super Dana 35, is it worth the $$.I don't do crazy trails. One or two times a month I hit the trails. Nothing CRAZY. I'm still paying for her. :read:

A) How much for a Super 35 $$$
B) How much for a 8.8
C) Should i just take the trails a little easyer
D) Am I just going over board !!

:spank: :spank:

Thanks !!

You can't polish a turd my friend. Go 8.8 or go home.

Super 35= Super Boat Anchor.

The swap will be about the same in price but time will be more with the 88

Hope that helps.

Well said, my Alaskan friend. DO NOT under ANY circumstances spend any money to UPGRADE the d35!!! After all that work, you still have an axle that's not as strong as a Ford 8.8 and you've spent more money on it.

Here's my take.

Light trail use: Leave the d35 in and do the gears without wasting money on the Super kit.

Moderate to hardcore use: Swap to an 8.8" and sell the d35 for $500 with 4.56 gears already in it.
