Hi all,

I'm putting on a 4.5" lift w/ 33" tires. I have the stock d30 and d35c axles. If you guys are running the stock axles are you having problems. Also if you have swapped in axles out of another rig, what kind of rig and how much work was it.
I know there are upgrades for the stockers but, I'm really looking to save money in the long run, if it's wiser to get rid of the stockers I want to do it now when I can get some money out of them.

Thanks Guys,

Matt :D

I run a ford 8.8 in the back and a hp dana 30 up front. the 8.8 is from an explorer and the 30 is from a cherokee wagoneer. the 8.8 is quite a bit of fabbing and the 30 bolts in.
you will have to do some trimming to fit 33s with only 4.5" of lift.
your axles should be fine if you don't lock up the diffs.

You're best bet is to run 32s with the 4.5" lift, the 35c is gonna take abuse with those tires, its hard on the axles running that size tire, but you do what you want too, plus, your going to have to trim a BUNCH to run 33s on 4.5, good luck, peace

you could run 33 if you are careful but i went with 32 because of the 35c.

looks great and flexes great.
