Does any body know if it is possible to put a procomp rockcrawler TJ bumper on a ZJ. I just cut the bottom half of my bumper today, and it looks great, but I have a rockcrawler bumper I won at TDS. I'd like to try to put it on but don't know if it will be long enough across to look decent. Or if anybody has a TJ and would like it 65.00 in the box. jwhite257@hotmail.com

if it is the 54 incher it will be right on the right width. Is it a front or a rear?

Here is what a flat front looks like. http://www.northern4x4.com/ak-extreme/images/vehicles/brentt_blair1.jpg I think it is 53 inches wide.

Here is a flat rear. It is 53 wide as well. http://www.clan-phoenix.com/jeeps/bumpers/rear.jpg

You will have to make the mounts since the TJ one does not bolt up anywhere near the same as a ZJ. Check my site for mounting styles on the ZJ

Follow the link to the bumpers of coarse.

I think that rear bumper looks pretty clean. I'd put that on my black limited in no time.

Razor- thanks and up yours ;)

Mike- thanks and up yours ;)

the front looks better now and the rear is not finished but I just thought I would toss those out since they might be somewhat close to the desired look or non intentional look (depending on who you ask I guess)

Those are auxillary backup lights. As we all know the stock jobs just plain SUCK. And with tinted windows they are even worse. Well I fixed that for 15 bucks and two hours work.

Got them from Six States. They are lights made for 18 wheelers. The require a 4 inch hole to be cut (comes with a pattern) and plop in they go. Silicone the crap out of the edge and it is waterproof.

Replacement bulbs are 4 dollars. But they are pretty hard to brake in thier current location.

I wired a power wire from the battery, and connected a relay to the stock reverse wire. All that is easily accesible in the fuel hatch door inside the rear compartment. The reverse light is black with a green tracer (just so you don't spend the 15 minutes testing the lines with a multi meter like I did). Take the panel off the hatch and run the wires. Install and enjoy!

Any more questions feel free to ask.

here is a closeup of the backside as you can see it is pretty close about 2.5 inches out from the unirails if I remember correctly.

And here is a shot with the rear hatch open. the top of the bumper is 2 inches wide and sits just underneath the lip of the rear hatch. When the hatch is closed it protrudes about 3/4 of a inch or less. Sorry I don't have any pics with the hatch closed.

Yeah I saw those pics on your site. I was wondering if you had any pics from the side so to see the gap where the bumper cover used to be on the side. Obviously there is a gap there now?? :ZJ:

Oh, no problem, I will go out right now and snap a pick or two. I am tired of packing for vacation anyway.

Stay tuned.

Thanks guys,

I will be putting a piece of plate around the corner to protect the lights a little.

this is easy to do and a good option for those willing to do it yourself.
