I was wondering if anyone would be interes ted in a Pritchett run on the sunday of the GSW? I would like to run it but only if a few others would be interested in goin. I have seen a few posts about what trails to run, has anyone considered Cliffhanger? We ran it at Safari this year and it was the funnest trail I have ever run.

None of us (organizers) have ever done Pritchett or Cliffhanger, so they won't be a part of GSW.

I've never driven Pritchett, but I've been on it.

I think the problem is that if you take a large group (large being over vehicles) through pritchett, chances are very high that there will be some sort of mechanical difficulty. Cliffhanger is a nature hike compared to Pritchet.

I think of the group that will be there, only a dozen or so will be set up enough to run pritchett, and of those dozen, only are willing to risk the possible breakage and darnage that is possible on that trail.

I was not suggesting running pritchett with 45 grands, I was just wondering if there would be a few people that would like to run it for fun. I saw another post from someone saying maybe he would run it and so I wanted to know if anyone else would be interested.

Well, I wouldnt' give it a go unless you're on at the very least 32's and a locker. 33's and a locker would make it better, but be prepared to take a strap. Things being as they are, i won't be driving it this year.

I'm definately up for a Sunday run, but it doesn't have to be Pritchett...though I think something on the upper end of "challenging" might be fun. I'm not against attaching the "strap of shame", lol. :)

Hmmm, we always do a Sunday run as part of GSW. It's usually a half day run and then we say our good-byes and head for home. The first two years the Sunday run was for hardcore wheelers but that didn't work out because we ended up with breakage or accidents that didn't allow for us to end on time.

Sandy:
Chad and I are sharing a room, and we're actually not leaving Moab until Monday morning. I'm hitting Vegas on the way home, but my reservation isn't until Monday night. I'd be up for a longer run on Sunday if there was an option of two, but the idea of breaking on the last day certainly doesn't appeal to me, particularly if many had already left with all the spare parts, lol!

We would definately be up for run(s) on Sunday. We will probably be staying a few extra days after GSW, so anyone else who has some interest in more wheel'n days speak up.

I can show you guys where Lower Helldorado is. Or, if you want a bit more of a challenge - UPPER Helldorado (insert wicked snicker here).

You shouldn't break anything on Lower Helldorado, but I'll guarantee some paint scrapage. (You'll break EVERYTHING on Upper Helldorado! That trails is just nuts!) Lower would be a good second trail to do after GSW ends.
