I've just installed a K&N FIPK. It completely rocks - Sounds great, excellent increase in power - However, I had to "massage" (bend the crud out of) the lip that holds the hood seal on in order to get the tube on the throttle body, and now under full throttle, I get a vibration. The tube sits on the seal, but when the seal is off there is 3/4" clearance. I've tried bending more, but I assume the engine mounts are flexing more than I am tweaking the sheetmetal. Anyone else seen this?

leave the seal off. ive had mine off for about 7 months. no problems. and the hot air vents out over the window and in cold weather acts as a great defroster.

What year ZJ do you have?

vibration has gone away now with more bending and more hot-rodding.

Cool, I have a 96 (5.2L) and am probably going to get the K&N FIPK, but I wanted to make sure it was going to fit ok.
