How is the AWD system when it comes to driving on a beach in sand?

Does it give enough drive to all the wheels to keep you from getting stuck?

Just got mine, and have never tried it, and can’t seem to find that info on the Jeep site.

Thanks

Will do.

Drove my 2000 Tahoe LT 5.3L with open difs on the beach and never had a problem, this should be OK I think. See attached specs for 2010 Jeep. They are open difs all around on a full time AWD QTI system.

Thanks for your reply.

only one bad thing about that chart, its missing the 4.7l engine.

Haven't tried sand but it does well on snow & mud. Just keep even/steady speed & like rtcaravan suggested air down the tires.

not trying to be a lamer but be careful when you go on sand if your talking about beaches, or river sand bars. i don't know what its like where you are but in canada if you get caught on certain ones, you can get a major environmental fine. something about killing the surrounding water life. (although i to have done it before, alot...) i didn't air my tires down, but that is a very good idea. and when i air down, i just air down till you have a bit of a bulge in the side walls. my biggest hint is dont stop and if you do circle around and stop in your tracks. cause if you stop in soft stuff you may get stuck there.

I know in NC, the sand dunes are untouchable, but the actual beaches designated for 4wd are fine. Dunes are still off limits, but on those beaches there usually arent any dunes anyway.
