I have a Magellan Explorist Xl now, but it's a bit clunky and old-feeling to me, hoping for a reccomendation for a new unit. I see a lot of people really like the Garmin 60CSx, which seems very nice, but i wanted to hear a few more opinions. If you have one, let me know.
Thanks,
JC

I have a Garmin e-Trex Vista HCx. Great satellite reception even in deep cover, barometric altimeter, compass, 1000 way points, optional memory card and MapSource topo. As with all handhelds, the screen is small but at least the resolution is decent. Its not the "best" on the market but a pretty good compromise between features and price.

I Geocache and have the Garmin 60CSx. I love it. It has very good sensitivity and I even get satellite lock indoors. Seems very accurate too.

DeLorme PN-20 here. The new PN-40 is supposed to be faster, but the PN-20 gets the job done for me. You can overlay aerial imagery on the topo maps too, very cool when trying to navigate unfamiliar territory.

After not getting any replies for so long on this, I did research on other sites. I ended up getting the DeLorme PN-40. Picked it up at Amazon for $289 after rebate. The $29.95 yearly subscription to all the maps is the deal-maker for me.

I have the RB1 in dash and it a good gps system, but is limited to the data on the disk. Streets and road are good but off road is limited. Some regualar back woods roads are shown but no topo info available so your are some what limited depending on how far aff road you are going.
