Figured I would post this over here for the rest of us zj guys.
I picked up a winch and since my ARB is a non winch model I decided that to modify it would not accomplish what I wanted and I didn't think the mounting points were strong enough nor did it offer the kind of approach I was looking for. So I broke out the tools, tape, welder, and started learning how to use autocad. I haven't had much time to work on it but I get to sneak out to the garage before work and if I get a minute for lunch.

My goals were to have it stick out as little as possible, offer a better approach angle, include shackle mounts, raise everything up a bit, and move stuff from in front of the wheels so I could corner in better.
It started out like this after I stripped off the ARB.

I added Kevins radiator support to free up some room underneath and protect the radiator.

I then broke out the plasma cutter and cut off everything I though I didn't need and knotched the edges so I could run a unibody tie in down the side.

I used a piece of 2x6 and cut out the back to leave a piece that would mount to my existing unibody/bumper. Cut down a piece of 2x6 for the main platform. Cut up some 2x2 to make the supports.
