I have a 2002 jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with power windows and I was rolling the window up and I heard a POP and my window is not working I hear the motor working when I push the button so I don't think it is that. I think it is off the track but the proble is I am not very good at car repair. Any help like directions on how to do this would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Bill

if you can hear to motor working then either one of the cables is broken or the regulator (track) is messed up. the only way to really know is to pull the door panel off and look at it. you will most likely have to replace the regulator/motor assembly because they are usually sold together.

I agree with above!

This thread doesn't belong here though. Needs to be moved to the ZJ\WJ Lounge.

Your gonna think this sounds funny but seriously it works all the time for me cuz my Door/window does the same thing. Now where the door comes to a corner, the side opposite the speaker you are going to want to pound on the door panel at the bottom corner with a fist while moving the power window button up and down constantly. And the window should come back up track and all.

TRUST ME WORKS ALL TIME.
I Have to do this every so often to my front drivers door after some guy slid into me last winter then took off. :)

Its the regulator and motor, I have had this happen to both drivers side windows and my front passanger side window. You have to order a new one, but a little advise, buy one from ebay, I went to the dealer and a auto body shop and paid 500 for each one and 40$ for one from ebay. When you get it on the regulator there is 2 square tabs that hold the wires to the plastic thingy bobber that slides up and down the track, Put some fiberglass resin in those as the problem that is happening is those square things pop out and make the wires uncoil then you cant roll up or down your window..

I wish i had pictures but I already replaced mine
