Just wondering if I had a 5.9L for parts if you could swap the sunroof over and cut a hole in the roof for it and have it bolt up with some tinkering. I'd imagine that there is a extra crossmember type of thing up there to bolt to on the 5.9 and my 97 would not have that. I would have the headliner, console, wiring, and the working glass, track, and motor. Pics could be helpful. Thanks ~Jason

I got a little info on it today. I will have a parts car so every part possible will be there. Provided it is a gasket and crossmember bolt kinda thing and would not need a molded roof to be cut and welded into place.

Looks like it cannot be done cheaply/easily. You would need to cut the roof out of the doner zj around the sunroof and place it onto your zj. The sunroof is recessed into the roofline and it is not just a gasket. It wouldnt matter to me cause you cannot see the roof anyways but if I cut off my roof it will not be going back on :mrgreen:. If someone wants I have the entire setup and will cut the 5.9's roof with it. Wiring, motor, track, roof, crossmembers, glass, headliner gaskets, and overhead consoles.
