So like so many other ZJ's, my paint on the roof is peeling off like paper flakes. I'm considering getting it Line-X'ed right down the middle, just between the crossbars, front windshield to rear liftgate.

Do you guys see any adverse effects to doing this? I know it's going to absorb a lot of heat being painted black. Your thoughts?

Alright Maxx... I just now realized that in your sig pic, the clear corner is blingin. Is this the corner doing it's job at protecting paint?

Back on topic though, I don't think it would be a bad idea, maybe a little tougher to keep clean (I know my herculiner is) but I don't think it will absorb too much more heat, I mean you're ZJ is already dark blue.

yeah. But not down to bare metal all over. I'm going to sand the bad spots where it's peeling and just kind of scuff up the rest.

Yeah I was gonna say to make sure you prep it good enough, you don't want to spend the time doing this just to have it start peeling again

i noticed that same affect on my friends zj.

did you know every sticker on your car gives you 1-2 additional horsepower?????

Done and Done..... turned out great. I ended up sanding down pretty much the whole roof. I had one Uh-oh. The painters tape I used ended up peeling off some paint that I wanted to keep.... O well, just means more of the roof is gonna get painted. :mrgreen: I'll upload pics soon.
