whats the best way to get the "rubber" part off of the shift lever for the t-case...im considering something like a skull shift knob to put on there

do not do that. it will look stupid and you will immediately regret it. but if you have to take a knife up the underneath side of the rubber. i say underneath so you can put it back on later.

the transmission knob comes off if you give it a hard swift jerk. this is the correct way according to haynes repair manual because it has no screws

LMAO...why would you do that? Do what he said first and fab something up so if it looks terrible you can put the stock one back on.

the "rubber" part doesn't come off. It is molded and glued to that black shifter knob.
